I'm 19 and started watching Nick in about '94. They had great shows like Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Clarissa Explains It All, The Secret World of Alex Mack, Salute Your Shorts, Hey Dude, Doug, Rugrats, Hey Arnold, and of course the game shows. I continued to watch through the late 90's with Kenan & Kel, The Journey of Allen Strange, Cousin Skeeter, etc. Then the network went crazy with Nicktoons. Catdog, Angry Beavers, The Wild Thornberry's, etc. By 2000 when the new All That cast started, I switched over to Disney Channel for the most part for Even Stevens, The Famous Jett Jackson, So Weird, and Lizzie McGuire. To this day I think Disney Channel is better than Nick and Nick is going to have to make some changes if they want to keep up.

Hello there and welcome to the boards. I hadn't been a Nick viewer for very long because we've only been Sky subscribers for probably about 3-4 years or so, but I probably gave up watching not long after they started showing s4 of Spongebob here and kept showing repeats again and again. I do still watch now and again usually one or two of my favourite SB episodes but that's about all. I did watch SB a few days ago but don't remember which episode it was though.

Personally, I gave up on Nick not too long after All Grown Up debuted in 2003 (I think) -- with all those schedule changes, squished credits and graphical bugs and doohickeys eating up the screen (plus the best shows leaving the air), Nick has become unwatchable (and, since then, so has almost every channel in the Viacom family).

Once Danny Phantom and AGU premiered and all the episodes of every show became immature (2004-2005). Oh, and the credits not showing anymore. I also gave up on CN and don't watch Disney so I ain't much of a toon fan anymore.

Even though i'm a fan of both kinds of Nick,i gave up after Avatar aired[last year],seeing that Nick is now becoming an anime clone network.I understood CN and all,but Nick, god. At least season 2 of American Dragon was like season 1 with only a change in animation.

Well I am only 10, so I am actually at the beginning of the new generation of Nick. When they change again, I'll be saying I liked my generation of Nick better than the new one, but the kids of that generation won't.

If you know what I mean...

Please do not take me as if I am a Newbie, I just don't post on this particular board much any more. Thanks.

When Disney Channel were clearly defeating them in the rating war but they assumed that it was CN beating them!

I liked it until 2003.And part of 2004. Well the only thing good in 2004 was they had a big month of june where they aired last, unaired episodes of good classics like arnold, thormberrys, rugrats.

After that they started picking up crappy shows.

And nick currently is pathetic.Having shows like mr.meaty....

Well, I would say when RP disappeared from the network, but I did take to watching Avatar not long afterward, so I didn't completely give it the boot yet at that time.

Now though....N@N and airings of new Avatar eps are the only times I really watch the network. Back in the days (Pre-2003) Nick was a staple in the home, especially in the 1990s when Are You Afraid of The Dark, Alex Mack, Hey Arnold, Rocko's Modern Life, many other Nicktoons of that era, and other quality animated/live action shows still existed on the network.

In my opinion, Spongebob was their downfall. I never liked it from the beginning, and now that is pretty much all they show and endorse these days, besides a few others--Avatar, Dora the Exploder ( Très content ). It was annoying to see it on the schedule when it started out; it's even more annoying now that it is on practically 24/7 It seems like whenever I change to the station that gawd awful laugh is on, and I have to hurry to change it to something else. It appears their milking it for all it's worth, and they're losing a lot in the process.

---As for CN and Disney; I watch Disney channel from time to time, and will be definitely watching the new season of Kim Possible when it starts up. And CN.....I'm starting to think they're in the same rut as Nick ATM. Not much interest in that department lately.

Man, I miss the good ol' Nick days; back when the shows' plots actually made some sense. Pleure

Well I really like watching Nick, I like some shows way more than others, but you have to take the good with the bad sometimes, I love watching Fairly Odd Parents, and Spongebob. And recently I heard that they might pull Fairly Odd Parents off the air.
Thas bad news, and is pretty lame. Here it is in a mathamatical equation
good shows leaving the air=lame

There's always some hope left. Granted they may not be full of tons of great shows but there are always some rubies in the rough (or however that goes).
