Clicky

This is hard! It bugs me, too. I always hit the car in the front. Can anybody else do this without hitting a car? How do you do it?

Ah, playing this game brings back memories of learning how to drive and it also reminds me of how much I hated parallel parking. You know the last time I parallel parked was when I took my road test? Seriously, I have never used it. Even when I go somewhere where I have to park on the street I'll just drive around until I can find a spot that's big enough for me to just pull straight into. If you don't have a driver's license yet but are in the process of getting one, don't sweat the parallel parking thing. Just get it good enough so you can pass the test, because you'll probably never even use it again.

I have to parallel park a lot of times on my street. So many damn cars!

I scored a 100.2 on this game. I remember playing this before, but it looks like they've add more levels.

When taking the test i didn't have to parellel park thank goodness. I'll have had my license a year in November so I'm still learning. Like trying not to cut someone off or pull out two quickly or two slowly. Remembering when to shift gears without hurting the engine. Geez its so difficult.

Oh i have a driving game to. Try is one its an actual driving test, pretty hard:

http://www.venisproductions.com/games/drivers_ed/drivers_ed.html

its fun but hard and if you do pass you get a printible license. Sourire

I had to parallel park during my second test, which I failed on. I think almost every test here if I remember you have reverse park into a bay. I had a mock test and did that perfectly, which is a shame that that wasn't a real test. I failed two tests and then gave up because I couldn't afford anymore tests and lessons and also because my theory test certificate expired. The first test I failed on was not seeing a cyclist (I definately looked and definately did not see him. I still believe he was hidden the other side of a car). He wasn't very happy and he started shouting at me. I also didn't completely stop at a stop sign. My second test I failed on reversing around a corner into a side road and also parallel parking. My instructor got me to park behind a car facing the opposite direction and also I had come in crooked on the approach and overpassed the start area. Just before I went to start my manouvre I forgot what I had learnt and been taught on how to do it. Apparently a couple of other people I know have had him as their examiner and they reacon that it's hard to pass with him.

This girl I worked with in one place used to make me laugh. She was not very tall and could barely see over the steering wheel. However she could reverse into a bay perfectly in one go. How envious was I? We always kew when and where she was parked without seeing her drive there.

I didn't have to parallel park on my test either. I was so happy because I didn't practice AT ALL. But I can actually do it pretty well. I just follow what the book said. And it works in this game too. Tire la langue

I didn't even try to parallel park on my driving test. Still can't do it to this day unless their is a HUGE space. Plus, at college I never did because people will park you in! Rire

You must need to get exactly in the middle, because I did it without hitting anything but nothing happened Triste

How to parallel park

You must have the car parallel the the one on the side
Go backward until the rear wheel reach the back of the 1st car
Turn your wheel to the max
Go backward until you can see in the rear glass that you're well placed
Turn your wheel to the opposite side
Go backward until you're parallel
Turn your wheel parallel to the road Sourire

That's it Clin d'oeil

Well done. Superyo you lost me there. To get something I have to either be shown or have it down in pictures. One of our driving schools has accompanying books and the practical driving book has pictures with directional drawings. I drew pics to help me in one notebook and I think I even gave a description similar to what my examiner showed me.

no offence but I don't think I'll be able to do a parallel parking in your country... (you drive on the wrong side of road Clin d'oeil )

Don't worry, it's understandable, but then again in some cases there wouldn't be much difference because it depends on the roads. Some roads (side roads and streets with no driveways nor front gardens in some cases) people parallel park on either side and sometimes you have to park on the opposite side of the road, which is probably easier for some people because of the driver side and parking on that side in our case as you know the right side. Also what about parking on a oneway street with two lanes where there is parking on the right. The thing you'd find probably most difficult than driving on the left would likely be driving a British car with right hand drive. Mind you I found it weird being a passenger in a car in the US.
