Toddler Buys Car On Net
Updated: 22:53, Monday September 25, 2006

A three-year-old boy used his mother's computer to buy a 9,000 car, it has emerged.

Jack Neal's parents discovered their son's successful bid when they received a congratulations message from auction website eBay.

He had bought a Barbie pink Nissan Figaro.

Rachel, 36, told The Sun newspaper: "We couldn't understand what was happening. Neither of us had bought anything.

"So we checked and saw it was a Barbie pink car which we'd bought for 8,999. We flew into a panic."

The next day Jack told his parents: "I've bought a car."

Mrs Neal, of Sleaford, Lincolnshire, suspects she left her eBay password in her computer.

She said: "Jack's a whizz on the PC and just pressed all the right buttons."

Her husband John, 37, called the seller of the car and explained the mistake.

"Luckily he saw the funny side and said he would re-advertise," Mrs Neal added.

The soft-top second-hand car has a 1.0 turbo-charged engine.

Seller Paul Jones, co-director of Worcester Road Motors, said: "As soon as I heard it was a young boy who had done it by mistake, I cancelled the bid and re-advertised the car which is very collectable."

My parents don't believe the story and think that they just told the news and media for publicity and for a story. However if it is true though it's kinda scary because that means that that toddler is not being fully supervised especially on the computer and internet. maybe it's time for mum perhaps to move the puter to her bedroom maybe.

I've heard of the wacky auctions on there, but not a thing about bidders out of the norm, and I've been using ebay since '99.

Plus, I hear all about their crazy antics of ebay on several of the other forums I frequent, and this is a first for this kind of stch. Rire
