I've always had Nokia's, which I've found easy and simple to use. I've found they tend to develop a fault. I then got a Motorola, which I've found the hardest. I now have a Sony Ericsson, which isn't too bad, but still not as easy as the Nokia's I've had. is it a camera phone? Mine is. I recently bought a data cable for mine and can't figure out what I'm doing wrong as I can't get my pc to actually notice there is a phone connected to it.

I'm like the only person in the world without a mobile phone. Ironically, I was one of the first people my to get one about 5 years ago, but I never bothered to get a new one.

Nah, a few people I know wont get one and have never had one. My mum wont because she recons that it'd be too complicated to figure out. Mum's eh! Another is someone I know, who's worried that she'd get undesirable calls ands texts and that she feels she doesn't need one. Other people I know have one and never use them, so they probably don't have one because they've very likely been disconnected.

Just a thought, my brother use to have one of the first cell phones. You know those giant ones Rire.

I won't get one because I have no social desire whatsoever, so they're virtually useless to me.

Even if they do go faulty huh! The downside of them. I do love Nokia for ease of use though, one of the positives. I'd probably say the positives outweigh the negatives also. I mean how many phones could you say you could get the hang of quite quickly and without needing to hardly consult the manual if at all! personally, I'd advise anyone to just get one to have as an emergency, even if it's a cheep or obsolite one. You never know when you could be in dire need to contact someone.

I do like my S Ericsson. As I've said I can't get my pc to notice my phone, but I've installed the data cable though. The cable however does charge the phone powered by my pc, so I have gained in something there.

Does anyone have a favourite provider? First I had BT Cellnet, UGH! (I'd say from what I remember is they were similar to 3). Also I've had Vodafone with most my phones, which is okay. My last one was T-Mobile, which were not too bad. My present is with Tesco mobile, which I'm liking the best. One thing though I registered one of my phones I had with Vodafone and I think that they passed on my details to an Indian call centre who keep calling and bugging us to take a contract with a new phone Fou. My Mum and dad also registered phones and they also get called.

Ain't Orange and T-Mobile (FKA One 2 One) renown for that problem? I know One 2 One use to be awful and Orange for coverage. I use to have a friend that was on Orange then Vodafone. About 9 times out of 10 she had a very poor or no signal. She did and still does live in a village which must be quite low. The town where I live however is quite high up and so I suppose you could get a signal about 9 times out of 10 on most or all networks.
