The Aussies don't have a bad team by most means. Tim Cahill and Aloisi are one of the best dual threats in the world.
I've watched T & T play all three games in their group. I was fairly impressed with the cajones they had. First, they pulled off a major upset against the Swedes, drawing 0:0 with back-up goalkeeper Shaka Hislop. Then they put up a valiant effort against England only to see it evaporate in the final minutes. Today they played Paraguay in a game that Trinidad dominated for about 60 minutes. Paraguay slipped in a goal early and a goal late to emerge 2:0. I was proud of TNT, though. I watched them throughout much of the CONCACAF qualifying and for them to get fourth in the federation was a miracle, let alone their beating Bahrain to make it to the World Cup. Hats off to Trinidad and Tobago! |

The Netherlands 0 - 0 Argentina
It was a pretty boring match though, but what the heck, we're through to the second round

I read somewhere that this 7 year old boy was assaulted whilst playing football with his dad because he was wearing an England shirt. This was in Scotland. |

Are you kidding!? That was one of the best games of the tournameny. After watching soccer for many years, you find that many 0:0 games are full of near misses, great defense, and physical play. This game was no exception. |

Who used to be the coach of Rangers FC in Scotland. I knew I recognised him from somewhere!

Australia's through to the second round , and what a great adjudicator did they have! I hope that he can do the Final

Well, the problem was that both teams were already through to the second round, and that it wouldn't make much of a difference which team had won or lost the match. The gameplay wasn't very exciting to my opinion, and a commentator said after the match that the Dutch team showed to much respect to the team of Argentina. Another thing is that I always like to see some goals being scored... |

Well, the game did matter. Second in that group has to play Portugal, and first gets to play Mexico - perhaps the weakest team into the Round of 16. This game did have a lot riding on it. |

EnGRIsH GlATE!!!
Anyway, we're at the knock-out stages and I'm praying for England to go because they will not shut up about it!
Sky News was on the topic of Rio Ferdinand's groin for about 20 minutes and treated it as "breaking news". If we wanted sport, we'd watch Sky SPORTS News. Almost everyone in the UK who gets Sky News can get Sky Sports News, so we have the option! |

Yeah the RED button, yay. I find the off button another alternative, but that's another story. Anyway a change from Rooney then and his Meta-what-do-call-it. Yes I know we moved on a bit since that, but you know. Also why a tantrum, because you get taken off earlier than you want to, WHY???! |

Mexico 1 - 2 Argentina
What a great match it was . Ashame though that Mexico lost it, I'm not very fond of Argentina, to be honest with you guys...
And offcourse, today, England vs. Ecuador . I think I'm for England I would like to see a country of Western-Europe win the cup.
And This evening: HOLLAND vs. Portugal:D --> Go Holland --> Slaughter them
Hmm... I'm sorry if I'm getting to Nationalistic here |
