Okay, so 2008 was a big year for movies *cough*TheDarkKnight*cough*, but out of the new movies you saw in 2008, how would you rank them? Provide a brief review if you want, too Très content

For my #1 I have a three-way tie among the following:

The Dark Knight
MY REVIEW: Absolutely amazing! A little bit long for my taste with a few unnecessary parts, but that's just my opinion. Everyone's a critic, I'm just joining the crowd Fier Otherwise, the acting was wonderful and Heath Ledger is... er... was a genius! 9.8/10

Wall-E
MY REVIEW: The stunning animation can only be the work of Disney/Pixar. They have always thought outside the box and that is exactly what makes their movies so brilliant. Wall-E started off slow (which, I should add, drove away alot of people) but got good toward the middle and taught a GREAT go green lesson! Plus Wall-E is adorable Très content 9.8/10

Bolt
MY REVIEW: One of the more underrated films of the year that definitely got the attention of the furry nation if you know what I mean. But, if you have an affinity for animals of any kind or own any pets, you will love this movie. This movie shows exactly how amazing dogs can be. One thing I do think could have made the movie better would probably have happened had it been made by any movie company besides Disney; a My Dog Skip kind of ending where Bolt does everything in his power to save Penny, but her life was destined to end in the fire. Sad? Yes, but it works. But, since Disney makes everything family appropriate, I understand the happy ending. In a nutshell, adorable. 9.8/10

#4: Religilous
MY REVIEW: Bill Maher in the last 10 minutes of this movie is an absolute genius. He is 110% right about almost everything that is said. Tolerant? No. Ignorant? Yes, with a good reason. While modern day science, including physics, biology, genetics, and chemistry have failed to prove it wrong, a person claiming they can speak with God is all people need to "prove" science wrong. 9.2/10

#5: You Don't Mess With the Zohan
MY REVIEW: The new definition of genius: Henry Winkler being tossed around in Scrappy Coco's limo... and throwing up once he exits it. Rude, tasteless, but hilarious! 8.9/10

#6: The Yes Man
MY REVIEW: I'm sure I would have ranked it higher had the quality of the picture I watched been at least been meant to watch at the size of my fricken avatar... and had half the picture not been cut off halfway through. I, however, decided to fullscreen it. Imagine taking the Chuckie avatar to the right of the post new reply box and stretching it to the size of your bitmap in Adobe Photoshop. It may be smooth, but it's blurry as all hell. From what I saw and understood, absolutely awesome Jim Carrey comedy! 8.3/10 -1 for the quality.

#7: Valkyrie
MY REVIEW: Again, it was recorded by cell phone, but not quite as atrocious as The Yes Man. With my ADD, it took me two tries to actually understand the movie, but when I did it was definitely worth the watch. But... who played Hitler? He was too old and his lips were too big. 8.1/10

#8: How to Lose Friends and Alienate People
MY REVIEW: It was good. Some funny parts and some confusing parts, just like Simon Pegg's other movie, Hot Fuzz. 7.7/10

#9: Role Models
MY REVIEW: Mildly amusing, mildly funny, and mildly able to keep my attention. Worth the one watch at least. 7.3/10

Sorry to double-post, but I got a new #4.

Milk
MY REVIEW: Wonderful movie with a great lesson and great acting. Very sad Triste Usually, you'll see me watching comedies or Disney movies, so this is a surprise to alot of people I'm sure. But I absolutely loved it!!! 9.6/10

No reviews, but my ALL TIME FAVORITE movie of 2008 was.....

PINAPPLE EXPRESS....omfg. it's the only movie I saw in theaters 3 TIMES. My friends loved it too. Cult classic, imo. Fier

Dark Knight...eh. I need to wait til it comes on DVD because the night i saw it i was REALLY unconfortable in the theater...it being packed and me me having ahem...deoderant issues. :-X I was DEAD tired too and it was the last 11pm showing opening day.

Iron Man i REALLY enjoyed when i saw it in theaters. it started out slow, but the chemistry between robert downey jr. and that girl is reminescent to Spiderman... great movie.

Tropic Thunder eh

Walle...I have to admit i got a lump in my throat on more than one occasion during the movie. It was stunning, though. Pixar ceases to amaze me with the movies they create. This will be looked at as a Disney classic in the coming years. How much emotion can effect u with little diaologue is just great

Twilight...LMAO...saw it opening day with 2 twighlight freaks and an theater packed with screaming girls under the age of 15. Tire la langue I never read the book or even had a general understandingof the plot walkin in the theater...but the movie wasn't half bad! I enjoyed the subtle humor in it, too. Oh and Robert Pattinson isn't as HOT as everyone thinks he is *disregaurd my sarcastic sig*

Zack and Mari make a porno and Forgettting Sarah Marshall....lovely. Sourire

The Happening....horrible...although how they showed peple killing themselves was actually neat....hope that didn't come out wrong..but the way the director did it.

Harold and Kumar - like typical guy movie....it was kinda nasty...funny in some parts...but it's a full fledged DUDE movie.

WOW didn't think i was gonna review...just give a list....but i did..so hope u read it. Tire la langue

Prisoner of Azkaban -
This is not my favorite, but it is the most critically acclaimed of all the movies, and the one that is most faithful to the books (in my opinion). This film set the tone for every film to follow it in terms of a darker, more adult Hogwarts and storylines. Plus, the young actors were finally getting comfortable in their roles.
