...an Apple MacBook. It should arrive around the 25th-28th. Just in time for the fall semester (I start on the 26th.) I'm really excited! Très content

Yay, another Mac user! Très content

I can't stress how much I love my Mac.

If you need to get a word processor for it, I strongly recommend OpenOffice. It's available for download for free from OpenOffice.org. It won't ship with a word processor on it because Apple stopped making AppleWorks last year. OpenOffice, however, runs just like Word and is even compatible with Word.

One really cool thing I just discovered on my iMac last night is that if you hit the Control, Option, Command and number 8 button at the same time, your screen will turn black and it looks like you're looking at a Xray image. You have to hit the same key combination again to get it out of that mode, though.

GarageBand and Photo Booth are fun to play with, too. (You will find Photo Booth under "Go", then "Applications" in the Finder menu.)

Right now I'm dealing with a "lost" Macintosh HD icon on my desktop, though. Hum... It was there earlier today and now it's gone. Oh where or where has it gone? Hum...

UPDATE: I got it back! Sourire I just Googled "Lost Macintosh HD" icon and was able to find an answer to my problems. Several others have experienced this with Mac OS X Tiger and the advice I found for Tiger works for Leopard, too. It has something to do with a script and I just had to go back in the Script Editor and tell the computer what the script was again.

All better now! Sourire

Thanks for the tips. I can't wait until it's here and I can explore to my heart's content.

So did it come yet? How do you like it? Sourire

The worst thing for me with mine was getting used to the keyboard because the iMac keyboard is flat. It hurt my wrists and arms for awhile, but now I'm used to it. Sourire

It's a fun computer to use. Sourire

Here is a screen grab I took of my screen so that anyone who's interested in it can see what the new Mac desktop looks like. (And no, that cool background with the green Apple logos doesn't come with the computer. That's actually just a picture I downloaded from Google of a green Apple logo and I tiled it. I also have another one like that with the old rainbow colored Apple logo, but that one hurts my eyes because it's so bright. This one looks better, anyway.)

Well friend if you have large budget then you should purchase Apple laptop because it is the best in the laptop either you should purchase Dell laptop which are best but compare to Apple they are very cheap. Also you should know the configuration about your system.
