I've been using Internet Explorer since the very first versions came out, in a time when most pages didn't even have frames and many browsers couldn't handle that "advanced" feature. For a while I also used Netscape, and currently I'm experimenting with Firefox. I've found that, overall, the look and feel of these browsers are pretty much the same; perhaps what's different is how stable they are, or how they handle things like popups, cookies, and the like.

So I was wondering: which web browser do you use? And why would you recommend it??

Thanks.

I'm still using the good old IE 6 Bravo It worked like a charm for years now and won't stop working Tire la langue It doesn't have a lot of features but only the one I need Clin d'oeil

I also like Opera wich I use sometimes. This browser was the first to introduce tabs (nope, it wasn't firefox Clin d'oeil ) RSS, Torrents and many other great features Sourire Moreover, when using 56k connection, it downloads pages before you open them so that they appear really fast Très content

I also have Firefox... and this is the worse of all. It's slow and it really use a lot of memory ! The worse is that memory isn't realeased until you close ALL ff windows :-|

I didn't tried netscape for a long while and didn't test safari for PC.

I was also very comfortable with IE 6, but by the end of its life cycle several sites started causing the system to crash. In fact, it happened with NickDisk reloaded - there's a thread on this subject in this same category.

I never really understood what combination of factors caused that browser to crash, because it happened randomly and only with some sites. My best guess is that some of the patches sent by Auto Update caused the browser to crash when the sites sent some type of command - cookies, perhaps?

In any case, the problems solved when I moved to IE 7. And now that all my computers run Vista, that is the default browser. So far it's worked well, but I've come across some sites that deliberately block IE. If that isn't indicative of the anti-Microsoft hype out there, I don't know what is!! Rire

Mozilla restores your sessions and doesn't use Quicktime, therefore it's the best. Problem with it is you can't customize your browsing history along with autocomplete, there's only on, half-on, and off.

IE7 is actually not as bad as I expect all other new things to be. I like the fact that you can customize stuff, but if your browser freezes, you're screwed and it uses plugins that my computer obviously can't read.... at all.

I hate Netscape... can't use it because I can't figure it out.

AOL browser sucks as well.

Never used Safari or Opera, someone need to tell me stuff about them.

The best would be to try opera Clin d'oeil It can import your favorite and you can use it without removing any other browser Tire la langue

I never tried Safari for Window$ but according to what they said it's supposed to be the best Tire la langue (best css support, fastest...)

There are millions of pages of information and entertainment are available online. To maximize your Internet experience, you have a web browser that features and technologies that are appropriate for your operating system and your preferences is required. The graphic provides a great selection of browser features. One Firefox tabbed browsing, which has been raised by the Internet Explorer was the first.

I think Mozilla is the great browser just because of his awesome browsing and the great new applicators which are offered by her.

With Google Chrome hitting the market, Firefox supporters are in a dilemma. Chrome vs Firefox, which of them is better has hit raging proportions. In this write up, we will see if Google Chrome scores over Firefox or is it the other way around.
