I think 2007 was a great year for movies. Here's my favorites, in no particular order:

Waitress: A hilarious and heartwarming movie. Not only was the script and acting great, but all the pies looked great too. Keri Russell seriously deserves an Oscar for this role, but unfortunately she and the rest of the cast probably won't get any recognition.

Stardust: I wasn't expecting to like this movie, but I was surprised! It wasn't childish in any way, and Michelle Pfeiffer was pretty damn creepy. Sarah Michelle Gellar was supposedly supposed to play the lead role, which would've been nice, but Claire Danes really gave a good performance.

Bridge to Terabithia: 100 times better than Narnia! The trailers would have you believe this is a wannabe Lord of the Rings, but those who've read the book know it's much more special than that. This is the best family film of the year, and I don't think I've ever cried harder at a movie...yeah, I cried!

Lars and the Real Girl: Okay, the idea may sound a little stupid: A guy falls in love with a life-size doll. But it really isn't stupid whatsoever. Ryan Gosling is amazing, as are the supporting cast. I hope this gets some recognition at the Academy Awards, since it really deserves it!

Juno: Definitely my favorite movie of the year, and maybe even my favorite of all-time! I just saw this today, and wow, it was really really good. Ellen Page is freaking hilarious, Michael Cera did better than he did in Superbad, the screenplay was fantastically written, there was a really catchy soundtrack, and pretty much everyone involved did great. GO SEE JUNO RIGHT NOW!

Honorable Mentions:
Hairspray
Enchanted
The Invisible
Ratatouille
Superbad
Atonement

Of all the movies I've seen this year, including old and new ones:

Transformers - 47/10 - AWESOME!!! One of my all-time favourites

Shrek the Third - 8.5/10 - Just as good as the other Shrek films; great!

The Black Cauldron - 7/10 - One of Disney's more underrated films. It actually was pretty good Sourire

Lilo & Stitch II: Stitch Has a Glitch - 6/10 - Not the worst movie I've ever seen, but it could've at least been a little longer. Honestly, I like the video I made of it better. Not being egotistical, just making a point.

Ali-G(?) - 9.5/10 - HILARIOUS!!!

Aqua Teen Hunger Force Movie - 9/10 - Uh.......... what in the hell?!

(...???) Saves His Family - 8/10 - Saw the second half, liked what I saw.

Evan Almighty - 9/10 - Funny as $h**! This is why I watch comedies... they all rock Très content

Ratatouille - 9.5/10 - Definitely better than I expected.

Spiderman 3 - 8.5/10 - Not as good as some of the other action movies I've seen, and definitely the worst of the 3 Spiderman films, but I still liked it with a passion.

Eragon - 5/10 - Not my cup of tea. Extremely hard to follow.

Live Free or Die Hard - 9/10 - I'm amazed; I enjoyed this one.

Let's see, The movies I saw are ranked here.

1. Ratatouille: I honestly didn't want to like it, but iy managed to get past A Bug's Life as my favorite Pixar Feature, and past Oliver and Company as my third favorite Disney film. Great music, funny jokes, cute characters, I was so sad that it didn't make as much money as Disney would have hoped, therefore labeled a failure. 10/10.

2. The Simpsons Movie: My first intro to the Simpsons, and a great one at that. Some of it's jokes fell flat, but it redeems itself with Spider-Pig. Maggie's first word added two points to my score altogether! 9.5/10

3. I Am Legend: Sad, but arguably Will Smith's best performance yet (IMO). 9/10

4. Enchanted: Cute, funny, a nice light-hearted send-up of fairytales. 8.5/10

Believe it or not, these are the only movies I have seen in theaters, Poor me.

1. The Simpsons Movie - 3.5/10
A major disappointment. The jokes were mind-numbingly obvious and not a patch on single episodes from the early 90s. The only redeeming factor was the emotion that has been missing these past few years.
2. High School Musical 2 Rire - 7.5/10
Bright and airy as usual. Dragged on a little at parts as well as the camera moving too quickly to appreciate complicated dance moves.
3. Die Hard 4 - 9/10
The perfect summer action movie Cool
4. Transformers - 9/10
Huge amounts of fun loaded with great CGI.
5. Superman Returns - 9/10
Had a great retro feel to it, despite outstanding special effects.
6. Déjà Vu - 2/10
The most hideously awful film I have seen in a long, long time. Denzel Washington seemed really arrogant at times too.
7. Gone Baby Gone - 8/10
This film made for some uncomfortable viewing due to the uneasy subject matter, but I found the story itself to be fantastic. The set up of the film wasn't quite up to scratch as the plot seemed to disappear in the middle. Had some great twists, though.

i don't like to go to movies, they are way overpriced, i prefer older movies such as the lost boys, jingle all the way, rocky, my bodyguard, arthur, good will hunting, stand by me, back to the future, the goonies, bill & ted's excellent adventure, encino man (encino), last action hero. the shining, halloween, duel, stir crazy, see no evil hear no evil, first blood, deliverance, the big lebowski, etc
