Youtube was working fine for me about three weeks ago, but it has gotten slower and slower and now it takes three minutes for a video to load. I'm on 384KB/s DSL and it was working great a month ago, and decently until today. This happening to anyone else? No, it isn't my internet or computer because everything BUT Youtube is working.

And just a side-note; it's not Internet Explorer because the same thinge happens to me on Mozilla Firefox

Youtube has been activing strangely the past ferw days. I haven't noticed anything uploading, but I did notice that if you went to "recently added" the past few days, it has not been updated AT ALL for ANY keyword. It just got back up today.

That what I was wondering. I'm wondering if whether we should still post Youtube clip links as some do contain copywrited media and as I think jarjar said a lot of them are illegal. I mean I don't want anyone to face a legal case or warrant.

If you're going to be pedantic, than the whole Internet may as well be illegal. This is my theory, my law, whatever you want to call it it helps me sleep at night:

Movies = Big NO!
Music Videos/TV Shows that are available on iTunes and/or DVD = No.
TV Shows/Music Videos that are not available to buy = Not really, but...
Commercials and short clips of Movies/Songs/TV Shows = Yes. It should be covered by the "Fair Use" copyright law, especially if it's being used for promotion.

Also, YouTube has a system for clamping down on videos that are in violation of its Terms of Service. If any companies were going to get angry they'd get angry at YouTube, not the individual. You can put barriers on a bridge but that's still not going to stop people from jumping over them if they want to... that has nothing to do with what I'm talking about really, but I liked the sound of it in my head.

That actually made sense though like you still can't stop all people from doing illeagl things even if when you try real hard to stop it. Or something along those lines I get what your saying though

I don't share anything like that, but I do download illegally I will admit. I hate iTunes and iPods for obvious reasons... but why would you buy a $150 device you can't use unless you have more money to spend on each file? I don't download illegally because I can't afford anything online, I download illegally because I dunno how to download/pay for legal files, and because my mom refuses to give out credit card information. But I do not break copyright laws.

If you download copyrighted medias without paying for them, it's illegal... not matter if you can afford them or not Triste

the "I don't know how to pay" or "I don't have a credit card" are not suitable reasons... juste like "I can't afford it" Triste

Well, if you think about it, we may not be breaking the rules. I mean, many episodes (like Hey Dude and Alex Mack) are not offered anywhere else for legal purchase and is not airing on ANY network ANYWHERE...wouldn't it only be illegal if you tried to sell the episodes and collect the purchased money for yourself?
