Just curious. Sourire

I got it back in spring/summer 2000. We had NetZero, and back then it didn't cost a penny (not counting the software CD - there was no monthly payment). I remember I wanted to go to this Amanda Show page, where it had a "video clip of the week" of her doing random things (like talking to a palm tree or something along those lines. Tire la langue ). I forget when we stopped with NetZero. I know we got Comcast in 2002-2003, which is what we currently use.

It was in 1996. We had the dreaded AOL dial-up. Used that for a few years then in '99 or 2000 we switched to cable. The feeling was amazing the first time I downloaded something with highspeed. I was/still am in heaven.

I got the internet back in 1997. It was AOL dial-up. It sucked! Sourire But I didn't think that at the time.

My family got AOL broadband cable in late-2001. Life was/is so much better, lol!

On a side note:

I remember in December of 1998, I figured out about Angelfire webpages and began to create websites, with VERY basic (pre-outlined) stuff, and no to extremely little HTML knowledge. Today, I know a hole lot of HTML! Just neat to think about it! Sourire LOL!

I don't remember exactly, sometime in the 90s. If I remember my brother let us use his dial-up account. I can't remember why it stopped, I think he stopped paying for it. I don't even remember the company he was with.

Actually seeing the Hoff's ad I think our first or was it second account was with Pipex, where we had to pay so much per minute and it would hike our phone bill right up. I say that Broadband was a real bill saver.

*shrugs* Oh, it's been so long ago... *starts counting*

... Hmm... let's see. I do remember using bulletin boards like Compuserve, back in the day when a good modem could transmit at 300 bauds... Surpris Rire

... As for the Internet as we know it... Hmmm... I'd say I started using it around 1992, 1993 or so. Embarassé Windows 3.11 and a very primitive Internet explorer... or was it Netscape?? Rire
