Since we're approaching summer, teachers have been making us watch movies a lot of the time at school. In French, we watched 3 films in the past week. "Au Revoir les Enfants", was a fairly depressing war-time flick. "Les Choristes", a drama about a teacher in a rough school who starts up a choir. Reminded me a little of "Sister Act"! Finally, "Amélie", a quirky rom-com with lots of little twists and subtle humour. I only, saw the first 1/2 though Triste I really enjoyed it, so I'll probably buy the DVD.
I also watched "School of Rock" today, but I've seen it before Rire

I saw "Click". Now i know you all think it's another chessy Adam Sandler movie. But trust me, it's not. It has to be probably his best movie as of now.

Though, I'm not sure that's saying a whole lot...

What i'm trying to say is, in this movie, Sandler actually plays a serious role. I mean, i have never seen Adam play a serious role.

You're right about that.

That's intresting. He generally plays that same charecter over and over again.

Ditto to that. It was very good although the over-the-top "we American's are better than you mutants" music started to piss me off towards the end.

Hey Michael, have you seen À bout de souffle?

Watch "Punch-Drunk Love." It was the first one where I saw him play a serious role (although it can possibly come off as comical due to the type of character he plays). It's an excellent movie and Sandler did a great job at his role, though I'd give most of the credit (as usual) to the director.

He also played a serious role in Spanglish and he was really good at it. I really wanna see Click, but neither of my parents have "time" to go to the movie theatre, that's why my mom plays the Sims all the damn time.

Nope Tire la langue
Those three are practically the only French films I've ever seen.

I liked Spanglish Sourire

Before school got out we watched "Pay it forward" it is such a sad movie movie but a good one. I also saw "Ice age 2" such an awsome movie the animation is great but I wouldn't recommend any kids under 10 to see it because their are some parts in there that might scare them to death. It was still awsome now i just wish they would hurry up and release it on video/DVD. Tire la langue
