Hey all,

Long time since I last posted, it's been quite hectic here.

Anyways, I was hit with curiosity from a thread on another forum I went to: what's on your desktop?

Not a description in words, but rather a screen grab in jpg form [or an image for that matter] of your computers desktop screen.

Here's my concoction Très content

Interesting, no?

So...yours?
~Mara

Well like mine, just picture loads of icons on a blue background and there you go. I had a Bambi screencap from one of my Bambi scenes, but as my computer kept crashing and then I ended up with the with screen you get with the turned off active desktop message. So I decided to just not have a picture.

Does anyone actually still use 95 though? I have a 95 disk complete with the licence certificate and manual Rire. Mind you the place where I'm doing my work placement have NT4 on one of their computers.

Oh how I hated window 95. It took forever on the internet. It took say 10 minutes at least for one page to load. Though I think that some of the screensavers and desktop images on 95 and 98 are so cool.

Are you sure it was 95 and not your internet connection or your browser? I think when we had 95, we had an old external dial-up modem which was quite noisy and my brother I think had an old Netscape communicator, which was set to give a message for every cookie. As for desktop images, I did like the themes I think for ME and I like the XP ones also. I do love some of the older games that you can only play on 95-ME and with an old graphics card and slower computer/chip. As for the images remember you can always use your own and save some of the older OS images to disk and use them also. I've got a few of the older Windows images and midi files saved on my external and floppy disks.

I don't think alot of the new internet connections can run on '95, most require '98 now, and some of the really new ones can't even run on that.

I've been using this same Neon Genesis Evangelion desktop for about 2 years now. Longest I've ever kept one wallpaper, and I have no desire to change it any time soon.

When we had 95 mom tried to install some higher AOL on the computer like 7 or 8 and it wouldn't allow it. I'm pretty sure it was the computer modem.

There is a very nice and beautiful natural wallpaper on my desktop with very less icon on it. I like to watch it and looks very attractive.
