I always liked reading almanacs and browsing old history books, and thought it could be interesting and perhaps even useful to have a small briefing of historic events. So, starting today, I'm posting some of the most relevant (at least in my opinion) events that have happened in history. Hope you like this.

1419 French city of Rouen surrenders to Henry V in Hundred Years War

1746 Bonnie Prince Charlies troops occupy Stirling

1770 Battle of Golden Hill (Lower Manhattan)

1793 French King Louis XVI sentenced to death

My mom died on Jan 19th, 1993. Triste

Aw that is so horrible. My grandma died Dec, 30,1999. Still have a hard time some days even though I was so young.

I'm so sorry to hear that, Jarjar, Rebekah. We all have our family history too, and its highlights are definitely worth remembering.

Strange... my grandma died exactly 10 years later. I didn't really know her that well, but my dad was a little upset about it (he was never fond of his mom to say the least.)
