I know almost everyone is snowed in (unless you live in South California or the south), but this sucks! The snow/ice has been terrible the last week in Seattle. Problem is this area rarely gets snow. Due to that, the city and people are not prepared for it.

I have only been able to get out to the store once since Wednesday. Right now another nasty storm is dumping several more inches of snow and high winds are supposed to hit later in the am possibly knocking out power for days. this is one of the worst winters in Seattle history already. Another year of this and I might have to move to Arizona!

Even here in Arizona we got lots of snow. Flagstaff got 3 ft. of snow but where I live we got 3 days worth of wet snow but it never stuck. Actually I'm very greatful it did not because of the horror stories I'm hearing from the east. My grandma is in Illinois and the hosue she is staying at has virtually no heat even with the electricity. She has 4 layers of clothes and can't stay warm.

We don't have it so bad right now. There's maybe about an inch of snow. The temp has been in the 20s but with the wind chill it feels lik -2. Brrrr! I guess I can deal with that. It's better than several feet of snow. I feel bad for all the people who have lost power. That's gotta suck.

We got a lot of snow in Michigan, no surprize there. Lot's of snow. This is nuts. I saw on the news that New Orleans had a high of 33 degrees. They never get that cold! Surpris
Up here, that's nothing new, but New Orleans?

They also had snow around the 13th or 14th. I have an online friend who lives there. She said it only lasted until 1 pm. I'm glad it wasn't worse. Her son was born on the 15th. That could've been a nightmare.

Wow, it's been a long time since I've been here! Surpris

Anyway, the weather here has been crazy for the last couple of weeks! We've had a lot of snow over the last couple of weeks (It was really bad about two Fridays ago. We got about ten inches of snow and it was so bad I couldn't go to work that day! I could get my car out of the driveway once it was shovelled, but once I backed it out into the street it got stuck and it took me 15 minutes to get it out! Embarassť )

Yesterday was crazy, because it warmed up and it warmed up A LOT! It actually got up into the 60s, and it was the first time I've ever not had to wear a coat in December when I left the house! Surpris
