I'm sure that for any series in current production they have several months worth of scripts on hand.

I don't believe any of Nick's shows, or pretty much any children's shows, are part of WGA.

Actually they are. Triste

Dan Schneider's definitely on strike, and I've heard that the Disney shows are too. The cartoons are probably exempt though.

But doesn't Dan write for all his shows? I know he's the creator, so he must be involved in the script creation process...

BTW, welcome to Nickdisk Reloaded, Crooked Teeth!

This only gives Just Jordan, but most other kids' shows have shut down too.

If you want to expand this to The N, "South of Nowhere" is also affected as well.

Almost all TV shows are in BIG trouble if this strike looms for too long. This could not only effect TV but movies as well. That in turn could severly damage cinema chaines too. Embarassť

Anyone know if the strike is having any effect on the Canadian-filmed shows, like the ones on The-N? (I.E. Degrassi, About A Girl, The Best Years?) I know these shows are written and filmed in Canada, but I'm just curious.

I don't know for sure, but I'd assume that Degrassi and all the Canada shows aren't affected since their writers wouldn't be part of the Writers Guild of America.

I think the strike only affects shows written by American writers -- most shows produced in Canada are written by Canadians, and are not affected by the strike.
