Personally, what's to be taken serious about?

I can figure this out -- you were born in 1988, so you lived thrrough three decades: the 80s, the 90s, and the 2000s (or, as they say on radio, "the 80s, the 90s, and today").

I agree. Most of them said stuff like "My brain hurts, I can't figure out what you are saying?" Someone else said that I was a lier. and others were like "Well technically not really." I was like whatever if you actually took a moment and thought about you would figure it out. It wasn't meant to be taken seriously it was supposed to be a joke. Some did figure it out and said they are like 16 and lived through 3. Being born in 89. I was born in October 87 so I thought it was kinda funny when i thought this up. Not living like 30 years. 3 decades in all. Rire

I was conceived at the very end of 1989, does that count? Sourire

I got what you meant before I even checked out the message.

I was born in 1982, was eight when 1990 came around, and was 18 at the turn of the century (class of 2000, yeah!!), and I'm twenty-four now. In other words, I've spanned three decades in my life as well Rire .

Why some people would take that so seriously... Pfff

Counts all the way to being born 12/31/1990. The last year of any decade, "They" keep telling us, is the year ending in 0. Years ending in 1 begin them. Très content

That's confusing!
Why not just the number ending in 9?

If a person was born in 1999, they would have live in 3 decades on 1/1/2010, still being 10 years old. Embarassé

I've lived in two - though, like bearbear, was concieved in '89.

Its like someone being 110 years old and living 3 centuries. 1890's, 1900's and 2000. Rire

The language is still off, though. In my variety of English, anyway, you wouldn't say "lived three decades" - you would need to say "spanned three decades" or "lived in three decades" for your statement to be accurate.
