Dunno know if any of you guys haave heard of this or not so I'll post it since no one else has. I really don't want to go to school now. Thankfully they didn't fire the gun or it would be a worldwide thing. One of the involved boy's was in my sister's class when he got arrested. She told me all about it a few minutes ago.

Police find gun at high school
Bradshaw Mountain High School student facing charges

By MARK LEWIS
The Daily Courier

PRESCOTT VALLEY A 16-year-old brought a gun to Bradshaw Mountain High School on Monday.

He and two others, ages 15 and 17, are facing charges of minor in possession of a weapon, a class 6 felony, and possession of a deadly weapon on school grounds, a class 6 felony.

Throughout the day, rumors of a gun on campus traveled through the school like wildfire. Concerned students eventually came forward and told administrators of three possible suspects.

At 2:58 p.m., school employees called police, who arrived and interviewed the juveniles. The school's Prescott Valley Police student resource officer, SRO, had already left for the day.

All three admitted to possessing the small automatic pistol during the day. It apparently changed hands twice before the third student placed it in a gym locker.

At 3:30 p.m., police found the gun inside a backpack in the locker. It had a loaded magazine, but no chambered round. Police also found three spare magazines in the backpack, each holding seven to eight bullets.

"At no point was anyone threatened with the weapon," PVPD spokeswoman Laura Molinaro said. "The weapon was not taken out of the backpack or brandished."

The juveniles told police they took the weapon to school because of an off-campus fight this weekend where they received threats.

Police booked all three juveniles into the Yavapai County Juvenile Detention Facility in Prescott.

The Humboldt Unified School District has indicated it is sending a detailed statement to the homes of all parents and guardians.

HUSD sent out a press release late Monday afternoon stating, "We want to assure our parents and community that the safety of our students is the district's top priority."

Yet another example of idiots who look at a firearm as some sort of 'Katana' type thing and think their going to carry it around and use it.

At their age and the area that they were carrying it in, they have absolutly NO reason to have it at all. Even for adults who have a concealed carry license, its still illegal to carry a firearm onto school property. Fou
