So what's everybody going to be? Sourire

Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays. I love the whole dressing up in costume thing getting to see all the other people who are dressed up. It's always fun to see all the kids in their costumes when they trick or treat, too.

We're having a costume contest at work and today and tomorrow we can dress up. They're giving away prizes for the funniest, scariest, most original and cutest costumes. Yes, I am dressing up! Sourire I'm just going to dress up tomorrow, though, since I'm also dressing up to pass out candy and I don't want to get tired of wearing the same thing for two days in a row.

I'm dressing up as a baby. (Yeah, I know it's been done like a zillion times, but it was pretty cheap for me to do, and these days I'm all for saving money!) I have a pair of flannel pyjamas with pink teddy bears on them that I'm wearing, and I bought a pink bib that says "I'm the little sister!" on it. (It fits, because I AM the little sister! Sourire I'm the youngest of four girls! Sourire ) I also bought a pacifier with a clip and holder on it so I can clip it to my clothes, and I've got a green and pink striped blanket and a really soft, blue teddy bear I'm going to use as props. Oh, and since we're allowed to keep some water with us to drink at the checkouts, instead of me using my regular water bottle, I'm going to put my water in a baby bottle and drink it that way! Sourire My mom thinks that sounds like a dumb idea, but I'm still doing it! She said she thinks it'll look weird, but I think it'll add to the costume. Besides, babies drink from bottles, don't they? Sourire I'm also going to put my hair in pigtails and wear some bows with them and put a little bit of bright pink blush on my cheeks and nose to give them that "glow" that babies have with their pink noses and cheeks. Sourire

Anyway, I think it'll be fun! I asked one of my coworkers what she was dressing up as the other day and she just looked at me and scoffed "I don't DO that kind of stuff, that's for little kids!" I just looked at her and rolled my eyes and thought "Yeah, 'cause you are SO mature, right?" I think doing that kind of stuff is fun, and it makes it fun to be at work, and you need to have fun at work every now and then and not take everything so seriously! Sourire

Happy Halloween everybody! Très content

I'm not really dressing up today. Since we live in the boonies (ha!) we won't get any trick or treaters. Kinda sad really because I miss seeing the kids dressed up in their Halloween costumes. Then again, constantly getting up to answer the door can be annoying. Doubly so because my dog will go nutso when the doorbell rings. We don't get many visitors. Tire la langue

Dan's coming over tomorrow (spending the night in the guest room actually) and we'll be dressing up and hitting the town then. I'm going to be a school girl. I know, not very original either but like BHC there's a lot to be said for easy and thrifty! Dan's dressing up as...are you ready for this?...the French maid. Rire I think it's kind of weird to dress up the day after Halloween but I guess we can always say we're going to a costume party.

Then Sunday we're going to have a "romantic" date. Which means I will be wearing a dress and heels. We didn't really plan this out so where we're going or what we'll be doing we'll probably be a spur of the moment thing. Hopefully it won't be a big disaster. lol The way I look at it though is that we'll be together and that's what really counts. Très content

Everyone loved my costume today! Très content

I have literally spent all day in my pyjamas! I got up this morning, took a shower and changed from the pair I wore to sleep in last night to a brand new unworn pair. I put on my bib, attached my pacifier to the pocket on my shirt, put my hair up in pigtails and tied some white bows around them, and put a little bit of blush on my cheeks and nose to make them really pink. I didn't wear any eye makeup, just the blush.

I had to go start work at 9:30 this morning, so I took my water in my baby bottle and I carried my blankie and teddy bear with me.

What surprised me was that when I was at work most of my coworkers didn't dress up! Surpris I only saw four other people dressed up: One girl was Smurfette, one guy was dressed up as a clown, there was an older lady dressed up like Tinkerbell an there was another older lady dressed up as a cowboy.

I saw two really funny costumes tonight when I was passing out candy that were worn by two teenage girls: One was Barack Obama and the other was John McCain! Rire The girls were friends who were trick or treating together. My mom saw them, too, and she also thought they were really funny. Rire She said "It's bad enough that you have to see them every time you watch TV, and then they come to your house!" Rire

I was Stewie Gilligan Griifin from Family Guy for Halloween. It had this big butt that you could pull down the strap and show. People kept saying I had a big butt they wanted to touch. It was GREAT.
