Is it a new or old account? Did you complete the registration when you created your account? If it's an old one did you leave it a while say 6 months before logging in again? Are you using the wrong casing/characters? I have two Yahoo accounts which I had to create my second one because something happened with my first. It was either a fault or hacking because my emails in my inbox only dissappeared, where none of the other folders were effected. I now have forwarding from that account to another. I had another problem at one time where I could login, but could only see squiggles and funny characters but i think that was a browser issue instead. I used to have a couple more yahoo accounts, but they got closed. I am having problems with one of my lycos email accounts with getting some types of emails such as reminders and activation emails and also with sending mail.

You're not using IE are you? Mail.yahoo.com seems to prefer an "advanced" high-security browser. Try installing and using Firefox.

I use IE for both and I was just in it a few days ago. I got home from school Friday and it wouldn't let me in at all. I was just in my account Thursday. I would get into a lot of times a day and my mom said that might have something to do with it. I have had that account for 3 yrs. I logged in everyday plus some after I got it. I did complete the registration.

have you tried sending asking Yahoo or going through the help to see if you can find any info? Are you using the wrong casing for example using a capital at the start when it starts with a lower case letter or the other way around or using the wrong character somewhere like - instead of _. You haven't deleted your account by mistake have you possibly? Have you tried getting a Yahoo ID retrieval where you give your alternative address provided for that account. I doubt it has anything to do with overuse of the account where you've logged in quite often. Does anyone think that it might have something to do with the browser's security/cookie settings? Do you have cookies enabled? Not enabling cookies may cause problems with viewing your account.

When I go into help all I can find is like have you forgot your password or username. I haven't I couldn't if I tried, I don't know how to use my alternitive e-mail. I'm not sure how to check the cookies either. About asking yahoo I haven't done that yet I'll try that and see what happens.

When you go to login, if you go to the forgot password page and at the bottom where you have the bit where you put in the info for the password (where you put in the ID of the account) and next to it there's the ID retrival where you put in an alternative email which you have for that account (a secondary account which you have under your account info (a secondary email address e.g. a hotmal one which you used when you registered that account unless you've changed it since).

For the cookies you need to go to the IE options (right click on the desktop shortcut (not the one next to the start bar) and click on the privacy tab, which will tell you the settings and how high/low they are.

Another thought would be to perhaps PM Mike as he might be able to give you more detailed help that might be better.

Edit: I don't know if these are of any help to you:
