So in April I am really hoping to go to school in Phoenix. Yeah! it all depends on the financial and I really hope it all works out. So what I really need your opinions on is that well I don't live in PHoenix so I am going to have to live down there.

I have family down there but I would rather not stay with them if I don't have to even though I would have my own room and I wouldn't have to deal with them either. Yet it would be much cheaper because I wouldn't have to pay rent which comes along with the huge loan I will hopefully get.

The other choice is stay in off campus dormatory because the school doesn't have dorms but they partner up with a nearby apartment complex that I would have 3 other roommates and i would have to share my room with a stranger so basically no privacy. The 'dorms' would be 1 to 5 miles from the school while my cousins live around 30 minutes away.

I really want to see what dorm life is like but it is scary because I will be so far away from home and Phoenix in general scares me. My cousin's on a weekly to monthy basis have their vehicles attemted to be broken into. Yet with the 'dorms' I would be closer and would make friends with the other girls I stay with. Which I don't really get that chance when I stay at home.

So my question is what do you think I should go for? In reality what would be best? Stay with family or some college kids I would eventually get to know? What are your experiences with dorms or dorm like settings? Please help I have no idea which way I should go because I know that if I went to school out of state it would defenitliy be the dorms but they would be on campus.

I don't have any experiences with dorms myself. I can tell you that when my cousin went to school out-of-state she had to share a dorm room with some girl she'd never met before. The girl was a major partier and basically the complete opposite of my cousin. I'm pretty sure they drove each other crazy. My cousin ended up moving back home to finish school and she moved into her own apartment.

I can totally understand not wanting to stay with relatives. That can have it's own set of problems. If it were me though I'd probably choose to stay with the relative to save money and be near someone I know. I'm a quiet, private person so living with strangers would definitely not appeal to me.

Living with strangers isn't necessarily a bad thing. It can be a learning experience. I guess it kind of depends on your personality. Are you outgoing or an introvert? Can you get along with most people and deal with almost anything?

Something you might want to consider is if you decide to try sharing a place and it doesn't work out. Would your relative still let you move in?

Okay, I probably just helped to confuse the whole situation more. Tire la langue Good luck with whatever you decide! Très content
